We’re less than 10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal at Brodick. Completely private at the top of our own wooded drive we have a spectacular sea view – one of the best on Arran.
Our mature garden is spread around the Retreat. The lawn slopes towards Lamlash Bay and the panoramic view of Holy Isle and King’s Cross point to the Clyde estuary and the Ayrshire Coast beyond. Our palm trees are testament to our sheltered location.
Altachorvie is the ideal retreat for a romantic break, a wedding or civil partnership, a lavish house party or corporate event. We run exclusive gourmet breaks, music and other events and special interest workshops. Altachorvie Island Retreat is Arran’s exclusive-use venue.
Our 14 luxurious bedrooms all have en-suite facilities. Our public rooms are stylishly decorated and comfortably furnished. Relax in front of the real log fire in our amazing sitting room or enjoy our Whisky bar with an enviable collection of whiskies and gins.
Altachorvie’s menu style is distinctly Scottish. It’s about fun dining with influences from our travels around the world. We like to know where all of our produce comes from and we support Island producers and suppliers whenever we can.
