Ofsted Registered Childminder Hello My name is Amanda and I am an Ofsted registered Childminder Graded Good in my recent inspection.

I have an insurance service background but I have always loved spending time with children.
Since the birth of my daughter I have surrounded myself with children from all walks of life in play settings such as groups run by private/voluntary and local authorities and I have now discovered a great passion for developing children of all ages.

My Experience
I have a daughter aged 2 and she is lively and fun loving so I am used to being as busy as a bee :-D

We socialise quite a bit in playgroups all over the Ashfield/Huthwaite areas and we visit the swimming baths frequently

We love the local park as it has lots to see and do and is just a short walk from our detached home in Kirkby in Ashfield

We visit Willow Tree Farm and feed the animals and learn about what they eat and how they are kept clean which is always fun for all ages.

Just as nurseries do, I plan tasks, play and activities around all cultures and link each of the sessions to ensure your child has a varied experience day on day.

I believe in "Every Child Matters" and work alongside other local registered childminders who are like minded.

I have an extensive portfolio which includes all the required literature for parents and carers which will enable me to work with children and their families to ensure they grow in every way :-)

My Qualifications

I am a certificated paediatric first aider

I have completed my In Home Practitioners course with the Nottingham City CC

I am a member of the NCMA/PACEY

I volunteer at a local privately run play group where I contribute something each term for craft projects and offer ideas for planning and presenting activities.

I have a Cache level 3 (NVQ) Children and young people's workforce.

My Availability

Seven Days - Usually quite flexible and I am registered for overnight care. Weekends are available if plenty of notice given and able to care for all ages 0-16.
