Welcome to the Tandoor Mahal, UK. We are a family owned Indian restaurant established in 1977 and are renowned for our excellent cuisine and service. Our restaurant has won several awards for excellence in food and service including Best Indian Restaurant of the Year 1996 & 2000.

Tandoor Mahal will be closed until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. We can recommend our family restaurants - Zaffran towards Willerby, Zaika in Hedon and Alishaan in Cottingham, which we can guarantee will do their utmost to look after all of our customers.

Can we ask that customers do not search on Google for our takeaway menu and instead visit our Facebook page and have a look on the Photo Albums section. We've had customers mentioned they are being overcharged when ordering because of a previous menu they have seen on the internet which they've not realised is from 2013 (shown on the bottom of the page). Customers have mentioned they have seen the menu on our website - we currently do not have a website and haven't had since January 2016 due to the Hull Daily Mail Website Creation team trying to build a new website. This website does not have any relation to Tandoor Mahal and belongs to someone else whom we have tried to get in touch with to remove this outdated menu.

Updates as power cut hits Hull
UPDATE: Electric is up and running as normal again 👍 Although "The Northern Powergrid have just confirmed that power has been restored at all the 1510 properties affected by the blackout" as of 1:45pm, Tandoor Mahal is still experiencing electrical problems. Updates will be given once everything is back to normal which hopefully will be very soon and before opening hours!
