Where Are We Now? Gal-Dem Bedroom: What's in a safe space. Venue: Fruit Date: Friday 2nd June Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm Price: Free Safe spaces get a bad rep. Often misunderstood by the type of people who benefit from them, they have become associated with curbing free speech and “PC” culture. gal-dem, a magazine and creative collective ran exclusively by women of colour, is coming to Hull to show our interpretation of a safe space as part of Where Are We Now?. Join us in the gal-dem black girls bedroom at Früit for an afternoon of discussion, takeaway poetry, spoken word, art, photography and music. It’s going to be lit. It would be lovely to see some of you at the event and please do share this with your networks as we're really excited to have gal-dem in Hull and think it's a really important event to be putting on.
