Thanks to Andy Aikman for piping in our Burns lunch haggis this Friday and to Marjorie for her sterling address to it.

In the first week back of the new year, the Lunch Club were delighted to have the Provost of the Royal Burgh of Kinghorn, Provost Alan McIlravie give us a presentation about Kinghorn's very own WWI Victoria Cross war hero John McAulay VC DCM. Alan also brought along the Royal Burgh of Kinghorn Town Council's Provost's Chain which is held in the archives of Fife Cultural Trust. Our own lovely 'Horner' Margaret Braid (who's father was Provost of Kinghorn) is seen with a portrait of her dad wearing the chain! We all felt very proud of Kinghorn and its heritage today. Many thanks to Alan for an enlightening talk.
