Some open heart surgery to create the full new stairwell at the loft conversion! Staircase made and temporarily fitted also! New roof window going in at the weekend before we start properly on Monday to put this place back together!

Light dawns in new Loft space conversion! Still amazes me the little space you need to convert a wasted area of the home into a habitual room! Full staircase fitting to this new bedroom adding thousands on to the value of this property!

Plastering well underway this week! All looking good for time to let these people paint the whole thing up before the kitchen and log burner are delivered and installed at the end of the month!

All sheeted out and ready for our plasterer on Monday! Boiler relocated ready for the kitchen installation and our electrician can now continue!

New load bearing joist section formed with insulation and flooring! Also full new ceiling line throughout! Rest of the week sees our plumber and electrician arrive! Boiler move and new lighting/wiring for kitchen! We also continue to frame out and plasterboard ready for our plasterer next week hopefully! All going to plan nicely for these customers! 👌🏼

Tomorrow sees the start of a full kitchen refurbishment! 3 rooms knocked into one large kitchen/dining area, with log burner!

3 rooms all ready for the plasterer now before doors and finishing works can be done! Unfortunately the client has ran out of money to let us complete this project so we move on next week! I think we have created a great space from nothing here! Shame we might not see this finished!

Insulating and plasterboarding well under way! Day off tomorrow but will have it ready for our plasterer by Monday next week!

Hard few days but now got all structural timbers in place and started on most partition and framing works! Insulating tomorrow and the arrival of 80 sheets of plasterboard to start colouring in later in the week after our electrician/plumber! Also lost an old friend today! ☹️🔨

We now have a fully insulated floor deck to work on at the loft!

And we're off! Day 1 of the big loft conversion is nearly over! New load bearing joist section fitted and ready for the 35m2 deck to be laid! A late night tonight working with the electrician/plumber to help run all cables and pipes before that goes down tomorrow though! 🙄👍🏻
