It's taken a couple of days but the lights are now down. (For a few months anyway). Well that's it for this year and what a amazing response you wonderful lot have given us! I am aware that there is still some more money to come in from a couple of different places but the Grand total as of this morning is £4974.11 🍾🍾🍾 absolutely brilliant!! We the residents of Hollow Wood Road would like to once again thank you for your generosity and for making this Christmas a very memorable one 🤗. As you can see we have smashed our original target. The new defibrillator will be making its way to the town ASAP. I will post to let you all know when we have a date and a exact location. We will also be having a street meeting to decide what we will do with the rest of the money! but don't worry we plan to keep the money in Burton latimer so any suggestions for local charities or groups would be greatly received and we will give full consideration to any made. 😀 One last point before we sign off. This year we were very lucky to have the help of Bosworth garden centre that allowed us to use their car park which really took the pressure off the traffic.👍 Special thanks to Wes the owner of Finch signs for supplying the street with all the signs and of course our money collecting reindeer.👍 We all look forward to seeing you again this coming Christmas. 🎄🎄⛄⛄🍾🍾

As we draw to the end of the Hollow wood road christmas lights, can we just say that it has been an amazing experience. You're generosity has been amazing way more than any of us could have expected and the good it will do for the town is beyond words!! In the next couple of days I will announce the final total and in the coming weeks will be keeping you informed on our progress to in stall another defibrillator in the town Plus extras.. What an amazing response. We are blown away by the generosity of everyone that has come so far to see the lights. As of last night we have raised a total of... 🎉🎉🎉£4388.26. 🎉🎉🎉 This means that not only have we smashed our goal of £2500 but we are well on our way to a second unit. 😀😀🎉🎉. On behalf of every resident on Hollow Wood Road we thank you and wish you all a Merry Christmas. Remember for those that haven't made it down yet we are going to be lit until at least new year!!
