It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the total cash prize pot for our international competitors will be £7,500! This represents some the highest in the country for CIC** and CIC*. This simply wouldn't be possible without the ongoing support of our fantastic sponsors. The Land Rover Floors Castle Horse Trials will take place in the picturesque parkland of Floors Castle in Kelso in the Scottish Borders. The event will run BE classes from BE90 to CIC** as well as ROR, Arena Eventing and NSEA Show Jumping. Visit the Land Rover Floors Castle Horse Trials for a wonderful family day out! Visitors to Land Rover Floors Castle Horse Trials will not only be treated to an array of equestrian spectacles, with dressage, showjumping and cross country all running simultaneously throughout the day, but they can also enjoy a walk around the cross country course, which spans from the Golden Gates in Kelso down to the Tweed and along to the parkland just south of the Adventure Playground and Walled Garden. Over the years the number of tradestands has grown and grown and we are delighted to work with a large number of retailers offering an interesting shopping experience. Delicious catering will be on hand with something for all from crepes to pizzas. For a dine-in lunch, why not visit the Terrace or Courtyard Cafes next to the Castle. Young eventing fans might also enjoy a careful walk round the lorry park with their autograph book, as top riders such as former Olympic riders Oliver Townend and Nicola Wilson, the ever popular Ben Hobday are regular competitors at the event. Tickets are just £7.50 per person and children under 16 are free. Free Parking. Come on Thursday to watch the international (CIC) dressage phase for free!

British Eventing is running a "Volunteer Training - All the different roles" evening at the Ian Stark Equestrian Centre on Tuesday 20th March. This training will start at 6pm with refreshments, before a theory session in the café followed by a practical session in the indoor arena and will finish at approximately 9pm. The evening will give information on the many Volunteer roles, including fence judging, start team, time-keeping, stewarding and writing. The training will be delivered by British Eventing Technical Adviser Rory Boswell and all places are free of charge to attend thanks to the British Eventing Charitable Foundation.
