For anyone planning on getting some tyres before the new year, we finish on Saturday 23rd December until January. For having one non-road safe tyre drivers can receive a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points, meaning that four worn tyres could land motorists up to £10,000 in fines and 12 penalty points - an instant driving ban. Always check your tyres for any damage such as lumps and cuts as well as tread depth making sure they are in good condition. If you have any doubts, call in for a free tyre check. Below shows a picture of one customers wheel who noticed a lump in the tyre. Luckily this was changed in time. A blow out is highly likely when a tyre has a lump such as this. The next pictures show a customers wheel which did have a blow out. Luckily this didn't cause the car to crash but loss of control can easily happen in this circumstance. The first two pictures show the extent of the damage and the third picture shows the wheel with a good replacement used tyre. All used tyres are pressure tested and visually inspected before being sold. They are then double checked during and after fitment making sure they are 100% safe before the vehicle leaves our premises.

As well as car and van tyres, we can change and repair motorcycle tyres. Providing that you bring the wheel in to us already removed from the motorcycle. Here is a puncture repair carried out on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R today using a mushroom-type plug, which fits into the puncture hole from the inside and bonds with the tyre by vulcanisation.
