facebook.comGood morning all and Happy Monday. Dolphins were spotted on the Hythe Ferry again this morning, heading inwards along the line of red buoys. Keep your eyes peeled if your on the water. Have a great day.
PLEASE PLEASE SHARE OUR PAGE - WEATHER DEPENDENT SAILINGS - we have noticed a great many people asking on all the different local pages whether the Ferry is sailing, for some reason some people are not realising we have our own page which we constantly update. Let’s get HYTHE FERRY’S Facebook page out there.
Ferry Service Update; Friday PM. We don't anticipate any issues with the service Friday afternoon or Saturday. Dont forget Football Saturday. Saints v Stoke City. In this weather, the ferry is definitely the safe option. Half hourly service all day. Take care all.
Friday service update. The boat has made one return run and we are hoping to maintain service. Well done to Pat and the crew for making it as safe as possible. Please still take care on the pier folks. I hope most of you are able to stay at home today. Any updates will follow here.
Last service today will be 1800 from Town Quay sorry for the inconvenience it is due to the ramps and gangways freezing and becoming unsafe. We are planning to run tomorrow but this will depend on the ongoing conditions over night. As soon as we have an update we will let you know.
Watch this space ferry travellers. While the boat is fine, ramps and gangways at either end are becoming very slippery. Updates will follow....
Well done for all your hard work.
We dont anticipate any issues with the Ferry service with the forecast weather, but do take care if walking or taking your bike down Hythe Pier. Could still be safer than driving in the snow.
Here's our latest Hythe Ferry Leaflet. We have changed the timetable due to demand and operate a half hourly service all day Saturdays on winter schedule. Don't forget, if your off to the Isle of Wight, there is a great deal of a combined Hythe Ferry and Red Jet ticket.
Great photo.
Congratulations to all involved. Fantastic achievement.
