The Pony Ranch is a rescue, rehabilitation centre for ponies but with a difference. It's like brownies but with ponies. Have a party with unicorn too... Hi, my name is josie I am a mum of 3 and I run the pony ranch. I rescue and rehabilitate ponies and rehome some while some are here forever. The special ponies that have a permanent home with us help me to coach mainly children and some adults and also young adults with learning disabilities using natural horsemanship techniques, they also learn how to care and look after the ponies from grooming to feeding to maintaining the fields.
I am so very proud of each of the ponies and how they have re-trusted the human once more to build a bond of love and communication. Some have had such horrendous histories and were boarderline being put to sleep through either irresponse neglect or serious trauma making them dangerous to the public.
I love so much to share this wonderful experience and see the joy everyone has when they find the connection between them.
We have lots of fun inspired days and play with ponies teaching them tricks, having baths and taking hacks in our beautiful countryside. It's a wonderful experience for both pony and person with lots of long lasting memories being built.
