A real treat for the ears and spirits. Great floor spots from Graham Moss, Mike Curtz, John Bell, Phil Hewett and our great Shantyman Keith Acheson. Fun of super sounds from beginning to end. New opening hours from Monday 6th March please see below.
Well then , we had an excellent evening's entertainment at "Hertford's White Horse Folk Club" on tuesday evening with two excellent headliners and a wonderful array of floor singers PLUS a good audience. First up thanks to the floor singers, in no particular order, Roger Akers and Emma Kirby; Mike Excell, Graham Hine, Johnny Guy, Ryan Davies; Bryan Causton & Penni Mclaren Walker; and a rare but very welcome visit from our old friend Keith Acheson who was in fine voice and treated us to a great selection of sea songs. We were also superbly entertained by our two headliners- first up was Melody Causton , who travelled all the way from Cambridge with great songs , voice and guitar playing (Question what was the tuning?) . Our second full set was performed by local singer songwriter & guitarist Peter Crossley who performed another great set and ensuring the audience joined in. Note to other folk clubs Melody and Peter are worth having as headline spots. Thanks to the listeners who came along, I do believe we were almost at capacity. Let's do it all again in a couple of weeks. Cheers Pat
