Description
We are a Community Group set up to help re-develop the Childrens’ Play and Park recreational areas in Helmshore Memorial Park, popularly known as “Snig Hole”. The Group represents the residents and community of the village of Helmshore in the Borough of Rossendale, Lancashire.
Snig Hole Park (officially called Helmshore Memorial Park) consists of an area of formal grounds with mature trees, bushes and shrubs and a feature Clock tower which carries the War Memorial plaque for the village.
This area of the park has had some work done in earlier years and is a pleasant area to walk.
The other section of the Park consists of a children's play area and football pitch and it is this area which is the primary focus of our attention.

Our new Buddy Board is here ! It's just waiting for some buddies to give it a try ! A huge thank you to everyone who donated including all those who clicked on the Donate Now button, Maggi Harris and the PCC of St Thomas Musbury, The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Prescription for Wellbeing Fund. Together their donations have enabled us to install the final piece of equipment in the refurbished play area and complete the original design :-)

Happy 2nd Birthday Snig Hole Playground ! Two years ago our brilliant childrens playground opened . Since then we've added some new benches and an amazing new wooden sculpture trail. We would love to finish the playground installation with the final piece of equipment, but we need your help. Please go to our page and click on the "Donate now" tab on our cover photo, donate and share this post. Anything you can give will make a difference . We'll be working hard to raise funds for the next month and will post updates of our progress.

Lots of you have been asking if there will be an Easter Egg Hunt this year. Well although there are no plans to run an Easter event we would love to run some more community events during 2016. We are looking for someone to help us do this....Are you organised, creative and passionate about your community?
