The RSPB reserve, less than 30 miles away from the croft is a rare marsh land, which is stunning at all times of the year, there is a large variety of wildlife, and the observatory tower is amazing, it truly enables you to appreciate the surroundings. Well worth a visit.

We took a walk up Struie Hill today, it's about 45mins away from the croft, just outside of Ardgay. The cloud was low, filling the Kyle of Sutherland, with just the mountains peeking through. Lovely to get into the sunshine.

How pretty. Dunrobin Castle is a 15min drive from the Croft. The castle and gardens are beautiful, and the falconry display during their open season is fantastic. Well worth a visit. #dunrobin #falconry

In winter weather it is best not to try and drive up the hill. Impressed that the Landrover seemed to think nothing of it.
