Equine training, teaching and competing Liam has ridden since he was 3 years old and his mother used to joke that his first word was "pony". Since then Liam has been addicted to the equine species. He rode cheeky ponies until he ventured to Plumpton College in 1994 where he underwent his BHS training and first ever structured lesson! From here he went to the British Racing School in Newmarket and then travelled the world riding racehorses in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Europe. He worked for a further 2 race horse trainers in the UK and then crossed over to stud/event work. Liam was lucky enough to work at the Landford Common Stud as the head lad, working with the stallions 'Fleetwater Opposition' and 'Utopian Opposition'. This is where Liam learned to refine his breaking skills with horses being produced like 'Opposition Buzz'.
Liam has gone on to ride and break many horses from Point to Point all the way through to dressage. There is nothing Liam won't turn his hand to and has a specific interest in 'Problematic Horses'. Liam believes that horses do not intend to hurt or be nasty but that  over 90% of these problems are caused by us humans!
If you are in trouble and need help, please drop Liam a line . . . he would be more than happy to have a chat to see if he can help solve any problems you may have.

Well what a great few weeks Billy has been having. As you can see he is finally accepting a rider (kind of) he is learning so quickly and although having the odd panic, he deals with them quicker and quicker and is starting to relax. Thank you so much Jake from Little Bentley Eventing for all your help, being my anchor man and Billy’s comfort blanket when dad is using him as a climbing frame. Billy is having a few more days of intense work before heading out for a holiday with a retired eventer. I’m hoping he will be told about the excitement and fun to be had in the future!

Well this morning allowed time for our second loading practice in the big boys Lorry. As you can see this competition lark seems to be something Billy is still keen on. Sadly just need to be able to stay on! Thanks Jake from Little Bentley Eventing for your help! Onwards and upwards, it’s now Jake’s job to hold on and or catch me whilst riding!!

I'm not usually one for product endorsements, but, this has to be shared...check out the change on these legs! A clients horse suffers badly every year with sore knees, and has never managed to find a product to ease this, until now. This year, they were introduced to the equiXTREME Skin Care Wound Balm from Equivation. These photos were taken over the last 3 days ...hows that for fast acting results?!
