We are pleased to announce we will be performing the very dramatic and heartfelt production of The Liddesdale Play. In the year 1565, the Liddesdale valley in the Scottish borders was the scene of a violent feud between the powerful families of Scott and Elliot. Murder and robbery was widespread, often involving the innocent, such as Hob Elliot and his family. One night, while his wife, daughter and sister-in-law are alone, two men force their way into Hob Elliot's house. They are Scotts, intent on taking Hob's life in revenge for the murder of a Scott. As the tension mounts while they await the imminent return of the unsuspecting Hob, his wife makes a determined bid to foil the killers. The play is an unromantic and realistic depiction of the darkest side of 16th-century border life, and was the winner of the 1978 S.C.D.A. Playwriting Competition. Tickets will be on sale to general public at the Reivers Festival Coffee Morning on the 27th January. But as valued Facebook followers if you would like to prebook for our production at the Banquet on the Saturday night (24th March) at the Auld Baths, £15.00 or for the production on the Sunday (25th March) at the Hawick Cinema/Auditorium please do get in touch and I will personally sort them out for you. Ellen x

Suspect Number 6.......Rag Rossiter Rag is staying at the Britannia Hotel, on his own, on holiday. He likes to keep himself to himself and is rarely seen around the complex during the day. Preferring anonymity. No one seems to know anything about him.
Suspect Number 5......Babylon Mist Babylon is the Entertainments manager at the Britannia. She is 100% committed to her singing, dancing and acting... It's just a shame she's not 100% talented!
Suspect Number 4.....Juan Adonis Juan is the Spanish Barman at the Britannia Hotel. His warm, engaging nature makes him a hugely popular figure.. Especially amongst "de senoritas"
