Located in a quiet residential area on the south side of Hawick, the hotel provides a luxurious, tranquil retreat to explore the beautiful Scottish Borders Opened in December 2016 following extensive renovation and refurbishment the Balcary House Hotel was formerly a Barnardos Home for children and was originally built as a villa for a local mill owner. Set in extensive private grounds, today the hotel is a luxurious country style retreat and an ideal base for exploring the Borders. The hotel is also perfectly suited for hosting weddings, business meetings and functions.

How will you be seeing the old year out? If canapés are not for you, there is pie and peas. Both if you want! Dark Horse will be live on the night. Why would you not want to see them? Tickets are now available from reception for the Christmas Jumper Karaoke night. This is a fund raising event for Save the Children and Poppy's Plea. There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
Just a reminder that we will be serving Christmas Fayre at lunchtime on Friday 8th December through to and including Saturday 23rd. Please book through reception.
Full details will follow but New Years Eve Cocktails and Canapes will take place with Dark Horse providing the music. If canapes is not your thing, pie and peas will also be served!
