Parsloe 1 hoddesdon town reds 5 This was Parsloe's final game of the season and it was a real tough game for the boys. Hoddesdon had two real quick and strong strikers that our defence struggled to deal with today. We held on for the first 20 mins thanks to our gk Kian who made some amazing stops throughout the game we really worked hard to stop the attacks but couldn't create any ourselves as we couldn't seem to keep the ball, the opposition were very determined to get the ball back quickly. Hoddesdon went 1-0 up after about 25 minutes a very well worked goal which had to be a good finish to beat our goal keeper on this form. I thought that the game was only going to go down hill from then but somehow 5 mins later from a long ball forward Taylor who is very fast used his pace to put their keeper under pressure who panicked and Taylor took advantage and dispossessed him to finish in an empty net. This definitely livened us up and it was good to see the boys celebrate the goal the way they did they all got together and surrounded Taylor and pumped each other up. We then started to play football with some lovely play from Adam in particular in midfield. And Wilson from right back. Hoddesdon caught us on the attack with their pace and took the lead 5 mins before half time. After the break the boys went 3-1 down after about 5 mins and the game became a real struggle and the fitness levels began to show. We did play some lovely football at times In the second half and Ted battled hard at the back and tried to use the ball on the floor as he likes to do. We created a few more chances in the second half than we did in the first half and had a glorious chance to close the gap to 3-2 as temisan rounded the keeper only to hit the post then the ball came back to him kindly but he mis hit it under pressure and the ball went wide. Hoddesden eventually went 4-1 up with 10 mins to go with a long range effort and scored again to make it 5-1. Overall a good performance from the boys today. We are very pleased with our season overall finishing 5th out of 10 and winning 8 losing 9 with 1 draw. Nick has been a great help this season so a big thank you to Nick for all the time he's put in with training and matches and all of his advice. Looking forward to working with team through the summer with plenty of friendlies, tournaments and our presentation to look forward to. http://www.football.mitoo.co.uk/LeagueTab.cfm?TblName=Matches&DivisionID=22684&LeagueCode=MHRML2016

Parsloe 1 sawbridgeworth 1 After a week off we faced sawbo again who we played 2 weeks ago winning 4-0. We knew this would be a lot tougher because sawbridgeworth had a full strength squad this time around and they were all buzzing from reaching the final of the division cup. We played today's game in very awkward conditions the pitch was on a slight slope and it was very windy. In the first half we played up hill but with the wind on our side and it was difficult to create any clear cut chances and it was a very tight 45 mins sawbo took the lead about 30 mins into the half when after a long range effort the ball deflected kindly to a sawbo player who beat Kian in goal 1v1. Going in to the second half I thought that parsloe would struggle to get back in to the game with the wind against us this time but I was wrong the boys were outstanding in the second half creating lots of chances but for a few hairy moments with the wind nearly taking the ball over Kians head and into his net we dominated the play. We kept the ball mostly on the floor and passed it around with confidence. Lloyd who played on both wings and in the centre of midfield today got the ball on the right with his back to goal and turned his marker with an unbelievable piece of skill found himself in space and picked out the perfect cross straight on to baileys chest bailey took one touch to bring it down and another to slot it past the keeper a really superb goal. Parsloe very much deserved at least a share of the points today but the effort, organisation and commitment could've earned them all 3. Our man of the match Lloyd who has always been an exceptional player shone through today his movement, effort, control and range of passing stood out in these difficult conditions.

Parsloe u16 (4)vs sawbridgeworth u16 (0) (home) Today we faced a sawbo team not at their full strength with 4 of their players missing they managed to field 11 players who worked hard to frustrate us for the 1st 43 mins we just couldn't find a way through their defence. We were playing really good football but weren't being patient enough with our attacks. It was quite clear that we were going to score 1st but it would have to be some goal from distance, and sure enough literally the last kick of the half bailey who was switched from striker to left wing to allow him more space on the ball found some space and from more than 30 yards out caught the ball sweet on the bounce to lob the keeper for what must be contender for goal of the season. The second half kicked off and sawbo had to open up and attack this allowed parsloe to control the game in midfield Taylor came on at half time up front and changed the dynamics with his pace and clever passing he gave the ball to cameron who then gave it back to Taylor who swung in a fantastic left foot cross for temisan to take down and place in the corner really well worked goal. Not long after bailey had the ball on the left he beat his man and played a low cross for an unmarked Kai to side foot past the keeper 3-0 it was all parsloe for the majority of the game and Taylor finished off with a well deserved goal dribbling into the box using his pace and sweetly chipping the ball over the keeper who got his fingers to it but couldn't quit keep it out. Great all round performance from a well organised team led by Erjon at the back and a class display in midfield from our man of the match Adam.
