Bunny Spotlight! Ru! This beautiful bun has been waiting a long while for his forever home. He is such a delight and we are hopeful he doesn't have to wait too much longer to find his new home. When Ru first arrived he was a very nervous rabbit and would run a mile if you walked past his pen. He has gained in confidence each day and has blossomed into a wonderful bun. He loves nose rubs and especially loves food! Food is the way to his heart, he will race over to you and is happy to take food from your hands. Each morning Ru will race up to the door for breakfast, have nose rubs and loves to be talked to. He has been able to build up a bond with his human carers and now trust them, although can come across a little shy around new people at first. Ru loves being out in the garden where is can really come out of his shell. He enjoys leaping around, racing through tunnels and having a good munch on the grass and dandelions. It is great to watch him have so much fun outside and binky to his hearts content. Ru is looking for a quiet home (ideally adult only) with lots of outdoor space for him to explore. Ru also needs a rabbit companion to keep him company and help build up his confidence. If you think you have enough love in your heart and patience for Ru to join your rabbit family then get in touch!
Big thanks to Rainbow Rescue Telford - Small Animal for donating all these newspapers to us! We really appreciate it 🐇😊🙌

Success story! Bolt! Bolt was a very difficult bun, he had been in and out of several different homes both with us and previously. He disliked people, would nip and lunge if you came too close. He could not stand being around people and we didn't know if he would ever like human attention. We were hoping he would find a quiet home with an understanding owner and a bunny friend he could love. And we found one! Bolt left for his forever home a couple of weeks ago and he has settled in wonderfully! We are so happy for him. He loves his new rabbit friend Alfie and also seems to be enjoying his new human friend too!

We recently had a visit from Blue Peter, who came in to surprise one of our amazing volunteers with a Blue Peter badge! Molly and her family have been volunteering here for several months and are loved by all the buns. The fluffs were very excited to meet our visitors and can’t wait to see their home on television. Tune in to CBBC on the 22nd to see Molly’s surprise and learn a little about what she does here 🥰🐇🤩

Yesterday these fabulous workers from Sainsbury’s came down to help us out as part of their charity day! They were super stars! Not only did they help us out with our usual rabbit cleaning duties they also set out to tidy up the rescue. They did an amazing job and gardening. BIG THANK YOU from all of us at Fat Fluffs 💖

Sponsor a bun! Did you know we offer a sponsor program where you can sponsor one of our permanent resident rabbits? Each Fat Fluff is available for sponsorship at £24 a year (£2 a month) or alternatively you can sponsor the whole Fat Fluffs gang for £60 a year (£5 a month). All sponsor money for these buns will go directly towards their vet bills, vaccinations, past and potentially future operations. As all of our Fat Fluffs are staying with us because of heath problems the upkeep of there care is expensive. For example we have 5 rabbits that have teeth problems, requiring dental treatment every 4 - 6 weeks which costs £20 per rabbit. We have 11 Fat Fluffs which can be sponsored: Angel, Museli, Halo, Rupert, Ariel, Pixie, Nakia, Arwen, Gandalf, Shuri and Percy. Sponsorship will include a photo, car sticker, key ring, birthday card, certificates and updates throughout the year. You can find more information about individual bunnies, their stories and their health issues on our website: http://www.fatfluffs.com/donate/sponsor/ If you would like to support any of these bunnies then please email sponsor@fatfluffs.com and we will get your sponsorship organised with you.

‘Maggoty’ Jim’s Story Jim arrived at the rescue after being taken in by our local veterinary practice. Jim had been attacked by a fox when he was out in his garden and while his owners thought he had escaped any real harm they were sadly wrong. After returning home from a short break they found a very sick Jim. He was taken to the vets and on further inspection they found a very large open wound on his ear which had got infected and was now full of maggots. This is how poor Jim got his name ‘Maggoty Jim’. His owners admitted they would not be prepared to deal with the difficult recovery process, therefore a rescue space was required. The team at Vets4Pets got in touch and we agreed to take on Jim once his infection was under control. Jim is on antibiotics and pain medication as well as twice daily cleaning of the ear. Slowly we have started to see an improvement and a reduction in the swelling. Jim will also have a funny looking ear but this will give him extra character. Despite having such a bad time Jim is such a lovely rabbit. He is a real sweetheart, he loves being around people (as long as you're not cleaning his ear), he loves nose rubs and especially loves dandelions, everything is much better with dandelions. Jim is an active rabbit, he loves running in and out through the cat flap and jumping up onto the different shelves in his pen. Jim will make a wonderful addition to any family and would love to have another rabbit friend for company. Jim will be looking for a new home soon, once he has fully recovered from his ear infection. Jim has been a lot of work for our care team and we have grown very fond of him. He is a very spoilt bun who has had lots of TLC after his ordeal. We would all love to see Jim find his forever home where he can continue to be spoilt rotten. Jim will be put on our rehoming website when he is available.
***VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*** Fat Fluffs are looking for volunteers who can help us for a couple of hours on the weekend at our fundraising partner; Pets at Home Sheldon. We need volunteers to help us fundraise at their store. This includes manning our tombola table and raising awareness for rabbits! This helps bring vital funds for the rescue. If you can help please email sarah@fatfluffs.com for more information - thank you 💕🐰
