The benefits of reflexology and impact on your wellbeing. My name is Natasha and I've been a qualified Reflexologist for 10 years.

During this time I have treated many clients who have benefitted from this wonderful treatment.

Reflexology works on the principle that the whole body, from head-to-toe, is connected. This connection is represented by ten zones, which runs front to back and head-to-toe throughout the body and are most easily accessible via the feet.

The reflexologist can detect imbalances in the body by working on the feet and then works on problem areas accordingly to help correct them. It is not a cure, more a helping hand for the body's self-healing process.

Reflexology helps balance the systems of the body helping them work more efficiently which, in turn, speeds up the natural healing processes.

Reflexology can benefit almost everyone. An increasing number of people are using this safe, natural therapy as a way of relaxing, balancing and harmonising the body and reducing stress levels. It can be used to treat many conditions some of which are listed below:

•Digestive disorders e.g. IBS

•Migraine / headaches

•Joint / back pain

•Sleep disorders

•PMS

•Menopause

•Infertility

•Stress related conditions

•Sinus problems

•Pregnancy - after the first trimester and a valuable tool during labour and the birth process.

Or it can just be thought of as an hour of 'me' time in your busy day, allowing you time to switch off and simply enjoy the sense of relaxation and well-being.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or if you wish to book an appointment.

Hello All and a Happy New Year to you and yours! Please may I have your advice? I am wishing to focus part of my practise on treating children and teenagers. As part of this practise I would like to teach the adults/care giver how to work particular reflexes on their children. I am thinking of preparing workshops (approximately an hour) to initially deliver the message on how this amazing treatment can help children. It would include handouts on how to get started and vlogs via this page on how to "find" particular reflexes. The aim of reflexology is to create homeostasis, which means that the organs in the body are all working together and at their best. We know as adults how we feel if we're "out of sorts", imagine how our kiddies feel when they're thrown a fresh bunch of hormones regularly, or there's bugs going around, or they're living in an ever increasing pressured world and are feeling axious and stressed! My other aim is to keep the hugely important role of touch within our children's lives. We are great at signing up for baby massage classes (perfect and brilliant!), but what happens once they've grown...it tends to stop?! And this can quite often be when they would benefit the most. So, enough blabbing (!!) would it be something that you can see there being an interest in? And where you think I could do it - evening classes at schools? One-to-ones? Both? I've been thinking of doing this for a couple of years, but I tend to jump with both feet in (pun!) without doing the leg work, so in a salute to my supportive husband, Gavin Zaprzala-Banks, I am trying to do the groundwork!! Thanks in advance x
