D&S Motorsport is based in north Essex and provides a complete in-house service for race and high performance car owners. Operating from its workshop near Great Leighs it also offers a total service solution for track day and race day events. Car preparation and storage are available for your own car or you can hire one of our own race cars.
DS owns and has access to several Mazda MX5s (including both Mk1 and Mk3s) and these are available to rent for events in various championships including Ma5da Racing, MSVR, Nippon Challenge, BRSCC and Max5. There are therefore plenty of cost effective options to race on some of the largest grids in the UK.
We have in house skills for roll cages, engine builds, ECU upgrades, dashboard flocking, big brake conversions, custom fabrication and have abuilt a variety of different race cars for clients.

facebook.comSo the suspense is over and what a result.........P1 in class A with 5 laps in hand over our nearest competitor! Sundays racing went perfectly to plan, our drivers drove a superb race showing some great talent, the track was damp for the first few hours with patches of rain but dried up towards the end with even a little sunshine at times. The mx5 ran perfectly for the whole 12 hours and other than changing brakes and tyres and refuelling the car there were no dramas. A massive well done to the merlu motorsport drivers and d&s pit crew for bringing everything together. We had a thoroughly enjoyable few days, Mission motorsport put together another awesome race this year and we will be returning next year to do it all again, now for the long drive home ! Roll on some more endurance racing :-)
D&s motorsport are proud to be participating in the mission motorsport race of remberance this weekend at anglesey circuit. It is a 12hr endurance race through night and day split across 2 days in aid of our fallen and injured serviceman. Friday testing all went as planned getting our 'all italian' driver line up used to the car and the frigid welsh conditions! The team did really well with night qualifying friday evening topping class with 3 of our 4 drivers. Saturday morning day qualifying commenced with a damp cold circuit resulting again in team d&s / merlu motorsport ending up in the number 1 class spot due to start the race in 14th position overall. The race began saturday afternoon for the first 6 hour stint running for 3.5 hours in darkness and other than a minor technical difficulty with our mx5 becoming beached in the swamp that is the run off area from the hairpin all went well finishing the evening first in class. With some outstanding driving standards and great team support in tricky conditions we are very happy with progress. This morning we restarted the race at 9am with what look to be tricky and cold conditions again and are currently still running in the number one spot. WATCH THIS SPACE !

So there it's, another fun and successful race weekend and 5 club mx5 season has come to an end. Big thanks to 5 club racing who have managed to put on another exciting and well organised championship. Now to give the cars a well earned winter overhaul and look forward to next seasons antics! Here we are at Donington Park after a disappointing day yesterday as the track was closed at lunch due to torrential rain. Today's looking nice and dry and the cars are looking good for the final 2 races of the 5 club calendar. LET'S GO RACING !

Its been a non stop couple of weeks here at D&S motorsport with the new mx5 race car build and maintenance and repairs on our customers race cars. The new season starts here tomorrow at oulton park circuit with 4 of our cars competing with 5 club racing should be an exciting and interesting weekend !
