About us:
Milton Community Garden and Food Hub is a large community garden with raised beds and a polytunnel to grow food for the local community. The garden features sheltered workshop space, heated container structures, a children's garden, a Ridan compost system, a wildlife pond, a compost toilet and plenty of seating space for visitors to unwind and relax. We also host activities for young people and community events. Watch this space!
We supply NGCFI's fruit & vegetable Barra with garden produce, Wednesdays 10am - 12pm by the garden gates.
We also run a smaller stall by the gate during the regular garden opening times (see below) where you can pick up fresh Milton-grown vegetables.
Adjacent to the community garden is a Memorial Garden, which was started in 2012 and redesigned in 2015 - over 50 members of the community contacted us to plant a tree for a lost, loved one. The Memorial Garden is open at all times.
The project was built by NGCFI, Love Milton and members of the community, with kind support from the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund and the Big Lottery Fund.
