Thanks to everyone for the amazing messages in my previous post and in particular, the DM's/posts about breast feeding. I knew it was tough as I'd heard lots of stories from studio customers, but I'm not sure I realised that almost EVERYBODY struggles with something about it! There are so many things that can go wrong and for so many different reasons. How are human beings such successful creatures again?!

So after only 15 years photographing other people's babies, I decided I'd seen enough, it was time to have one of my own! This still nameless chap was born on Monday! Covid restrictions make it tough in hospital for Mum and baby and I can only see them for two hours a day, but all is well. PLEASE share all and any breast feeding tips! The struggle is real...

Today I opened the studio for my first new customer since March. It felt good to be back behind the camera, re-learning how all my gear works! Going forwards the studio is open for small families, babies and children with social distancing in place. If you're not confident indoors, I'm available to shoot from the doorstep, or at a location of your choice. The incredible lockdown weather is surely due a comeback soon!

Ahead of officially opening the studio, I had the pleasure of photographing an inspiring couple. Determined to celebrate what should have been their wedding day, Zach & Adele made the most of things! With just two guests (one being me) I photographed a medieval hand-fasting ceremony in their garden. It was two parts mad, one part crazy and many other parts really quite lovely. I'm open again for bookings from 1st July! Starting with covid-safe 'doorstep' and location sessions, the studio will also re-open for business individuals and babies. The lockdown has been tough, but I hope we’ll look back fondly at more time spent at home, more time spent with children and more time shared as a family. I’d be delighted to create images for your family that portray this peculiar moment in time! I've got a hopeful feeling this week is the half way point in this Covid19 crisis! My studio is still shut, but I'm working on plans to open up for location only sessions as government restrictions are lifted. How has everyone been coping? How crazy have the kids gone?
