Description
Quality, expertly handcrafted memory keepsakes - cushion, quilt, blanket, bunting, or animal, made from special clothing, baby's, child's or a loved one's. Cuddly Snugs came about by accident! An idea began to grow in my mind when my neice and sister-in-law were looking for someone to make a memory patchwork quilt for them.
The businesses they found all had such long waiting lists or were not quite right for them.
I thought the idea was a perfect way to preserve those early memories of a child's life and I've always enjoyed sewing (since I was a child!) so I thought that I would like to have a go at making a quilt.
I researched a LOT!!!!
Quilting was not something I had ever attempted before, I had no idea there was so much to learn!
2 prototypes later, I felt I was ready to start the quilt, but I still wanted to step it up a notch and so my first quilt was made using nearly every new technique that I had learned, mosaic planning, applique, machine embroidery, stitch in the ditch, you name it, it was there!
I was so pleased with the final result, and knowing that my neice and sister-in-law loved the quilt was the best feeling!
I've re-discovered my passion for sewing and just want to go on creating beautiful things like this for everybody!
