After buying some 100% Shetland wool, hand spun by Jon Reeves from Natural Art Yarn yesterday, I couldn't wait to experiment! I've made up and just felted this bowl. You can see how fat the yarn becomes after felting, and you have to feel it to believe how incredibly soft it is. The texture and soft natural hues are just heavenly too. I now need to go and seek out Jon and Annie to get some more yarn!!
What an amazing day at Wool@Portsoy. Thank you to Lorna and Gael for organising it and treating us all to lovely food and cups of warm drinks too. I so look forward to next year 😃. The stars were definitely those gorgeous baby alpacas!!!!
All set up on a wonderful spot! At Wool@Portsoy. We are here, where are you?
Wool Engineering Ltd is featured in a rather lovely magazine that we have up here in Aberdeenshire, called Knock News. The article is about, you guessed it, Wool@Portsoy, the new woolfest that I am preparing for today. Knock News has featured my little felted bowls, which are still proving popular. Have you got yours yet? 😉
