"Amidst the chaos of the cities, a part of you always yearns for the silence of the woods" ~ Ram Moran. This is one of the snaps from our adventure today. Doesn't she look so tiny among all the trees?! With our hectic lives it's easy to forget what it's like to be outside, smelling the fresh air, exploring, and using your imagination. Being able to pick up and do these things was actually a big part of why we left NYC five years ago. I can't imagine a childhood where you aren't able to explore the natural world. I'm actually reading a book (called Kith: The Riddle of the Childscape by Jay Griffiths) about how closely nature, and the freedom to experience it, is connected to happiness in childhood.
