Today is a sad day An Absolute Legend has worked his last shift and officially left the Sams Fowey Kitchen. After 17 years from 1999-2016 Phil Kidd who has been through it all with the original Sam's Crew has tied his apron strings for the final time. He has hung up his knives, walked the last Pass ( his knees will be pleased) danced around the final flame, cooked probably his millionth Burger, wrestled the last pesky mussel and lobster and cooked his last tray of 100km's of Lasagne. Going back; He has been Sam's Wing Man and vice Versa. He has cooked with and shown the ropes to the majority of all our kitchen staff across Sam's, has inspired new Chefs, Commis, KP's, Burger Staff ( Anto and Sara) along with encouraging Bar and Floor Staff to Cook and get tattoos, ( his guilty pleasure) fall in love with Rock and enjoy his passion with Star Wars. His Humour, Wit, antidotes, stories and Banter have made people cry with laughter. It has been an absolute pleasure Mr Kidd. You really don't know how much we will all miss you. We wish you love, luck, health wealth and happiness in your new life chapter. And you know if you ever fancy moonlighting there will be a bandanna with your name on it hung up in your kitchen.
