Convenience doesn’t stop there and you can now access a number of services online. Ordering a repeat prescription or sending us your comments are both just a click away. And if you’re not yet registered with us you can download the necessary forms here too.
All patient areas at Fochabers Medical Practice are suitable for wheelchair access. The main entrance has push-button automatic doors. For patients with hearing aids there is a loop system at the reception desk. We have access to a translation service for those of whom do not speak English as a first language.

Increase in Capability We are proud to announce that from Mon 12 March 2018 we have a significant increase in capability with our Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Grant Redford will be joining us on a full time basis; and our resident ANP, Sharon Kinniburgh, has agreed to increase her hours to full time with effect 1 Mar 18. So what does that mean in real terms? We will have 2 ANPs operating Mon - Fri with each of them having a half day off, rotating Wed and Thu afternoons. Cover will be provided from 08:30 - 18:00 every day! Did you know that ANPs can cover almost all of the responsibilities normally associated with GPs - including prescribing? To put it into perspective, the only cases that ANPs cannot deal with are: Mental Health, Under 2 Year olds, and Pregnancy! This is excellent news for us as a Practice, and even better news for our patients! Practice Manager
Locum Services We will be operating with Locum Services, to cover absence through planned holiday and sickness of our GPs, between 5 - 21 March 2018. Both Locums are very well known to our patients. Dr Gordon McInnes has been providing Locum services with the Practice since Dec 17 and widely respected with all with whom he comes in to contact; as is Dr David Mickel who will also be providing cover. We are pleased to announce that Dr Annabel Ross, from Aberlour Medical Practice, has also agreed to help us with cover. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Practice Manager
Vision Online Services 01 Apr 2018 9 DAYS LEFT FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS TO BE REQUESTED ON OUR WEB PAGE Please feel free to share this information This is a Significant change on how we are doing our business There are only 9 days to go before we discontinue the Online Prescription Facility on our Website. The Practice will be switching to Vision Online Services with effect 01 Apr 2018. Although we have been advertising this since November 2017, there are only 56 people, to date, registered for Vision Online Services! It is very important that you download and complete the form if you want to continue to order your Repeat Medication online! Otherwise you will have to come into the surgery! Vision Online Services is very easy to follow: You must have completed the form - in full! You must have a unique eMail Address You must produce Identification of who you are! In the last week of March a link will be eMailed to all Vision Online registered patients. This link will provide you with instructions on how to logon to Vision Online Services. You will have your own unique password to access this service. Using the service is really easy! Vision Online Services will initially provide Fochabers Medical Practice patients with the facility to order Repeat Prescriptions directly into our computer system. However, in the near future we will also be opening up the facility to book appointments with the GP or nurse on a trial basis. Watch this space! Practice Manager
