Let's Talk NI Psychology Service provides Psychological Therapy for individuals experiencing difficulties with their psychological well-being. Assessment and treatment  can occur face-to-face,  via telephone or Skype.  In Northern Ireland one in six people experience problems with their mental health, at any one time. This is not surprising, given the nature of life, and the many difficulties, losses and changes that occur. For some, time will heal the pain, hurt and  anxiety experienced.  Others seek help in order to better understand their experiences, and   resolve their distress.

Psychological Therapy involves meeting a trained professional,  and talking about what it is you have been going through.  Most of us want somebody to talk to, someone who listens and accepts us just as we are, especially when we are going through a difficult time. Clinical Psychologists are trained to listen    attentively and without judgment.

My name is Dr. Kristine Abercrombie. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. I have studied and worked within the field of psychology for the past 14 years. I completed a BSc in Applied Psychology and a     Doctorate in Clinical           Psychology. I am a member of the British  Psychological Society and  registered with the Health and Care Professionals  Council. I am    registered with a variety of health insurance           companies. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults and older adults, experiencing a wide range of psychological/emotional difficulties.

Clinical Psychologists differ from many other  professionals who provide therapy, in that we are trained in a variety of different treatment methods. We are also trained to integrate scientific research and clinical practice, enabling us to enhance current     psychological treatments, and facilitate effective    psychological services.  I assess my clients and decide whether any particular therapy, or indeed combination of therapies, would be most likely to meet their needs
