Some sad news reaches us as we begin the season of Lent with the passing of Father Charles Carr. Father Charles was a wonderful, gentle soul who served the parish brilliantly in his time at St John's. His started his career in nursing, and then passed his experience on as a lecturer before his ordination into the priesthood. His experience of a fulfilling life shone through in his sermons. Please keep his family in your prayers tonight. God bless and Requiescat in pace Father Carr.
