Back by popular demand, this specially designed workshop will help prevent, support and manage lower back pain. Minimum of 4 participants for this workshop to take place. Take the first step towards improving your spine health and taking the worry, stress and pain of having a dysfunctional lower back away The largest scientific study of Yoga to date by York University found that a specially designed yoga class can improve lower back health (in most people). It can be more effective than physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, Pilates and CBT. Is this Workshop Suitable for You? This workshop is ideal for Yoga beginners and improvers, Men and Women who are experiencing lower back pain. However, it is not suitable for the initial active inflammatory stage or if the pain is very severe and ongoing. Please ring Ebb & Flow about this if you are unsure. Stress and Back Pain The latest scientific research has shown that stress and pain are related. Yoga offers many proven techniques for stress management and relaxation. You’ll also learn how to be more mindful and aware of your posture and movement in everyday life. Students feel that they are more in control of their back pain; rather than the back pain dictating what they can and can’t do in their lives. £25pp

For those who love the physical practice! Asana Addict is an intermediate-advanced vinyasa practice. Flows are deep, strong and sometimes funky! You will be led through kramas (steps) to work towards peak poses, which makes this workshop accessible to a wide experience of practitioners. When we hit the peak poses, there will be plenty of time to explore them. If you are learning them, we will go into technique and teachers can learn to support each other through hands-on assists. The overall practice itself is intermediate, not because of the poses, but it is just a way to say that the practice is not suitable for anyone with injuries and not suitable if you have just started practice as you will need to be somewhat familiar with the Sun Salutations and at least all the foundation yoga postures. Apart from this, all are welcomed. Your practice goals will always be supported and as always expect to share lots of laughing! £25 per person Min 4 members for this workshop to go ahead.

Nutrition & Hormone workshop with Karen Alexander This is a 1.5 hour workshop open to all women, but an especially warm welcome for women over 35, or those experiencing perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause. Exploring how totally natural, complementary nutrition and hormone support can provide you with vitality, sexuality and hormonal well-being during the changes we experience as women. This workshop will help guide you through this transitional time. It will help you understand why some women have more extreme symptoms than others and steps you can take to support your body in the best way possible. We will explore and help break down the myths around this natural time of change and celebrate what it means to be a woman. Karen is a BANT and CNHC registered Nutritional Therapist, with an MSc in Personalised Nutrition, a passion for women's health issues and helping people using her knowledge of nutritional science to promote health, vitality and performance.
