Don't use exercise as an excuse to eat all the foods. Post work out eat something nutritious and most importantly delicious.
I like to take on challenges, I like training for events, I like taking part in events and I like improving in events. I am not quick, I will never win but I enjoy the personal challenge, I love trying for a new pb or taking on something I have never done before but I really hate failing. I took the decision this week to pull out of the triathlon I have been training for. I cannot complete the swimming element of the tri, despite months in the pool (as well as hours running and on the bike) I know I cannot complete the 1.5k swim. This decision was hard but I can accept that I'm not ready, I've loved the journey, the training and the new skills I'm learning, but now is not the right time. It would be so easy to stress and be frustrated, to have regrets, maybe I could have trained harder, have got lessons sooner (started them last week), but it is not worth it. I'll carry on training, book onto another one when I'm ready and find something else to do on that day.

It is so amazing watching people achieve goals that they never thought possible. Tonight one of the fabulous ladies I train completed a goal in her words she never thought was possible Her hard work, determination and belief in her self made it all possible and I'm so pleased to be part of her journey.

Tonight's dinner - spicy meatballs 500g pork mince 1tsp smoked paprika 1/2 tsp turmeric 1tsp mixed herbs Salt & pepper Mix all ingredients together and then roll into golf ball size balls. Cook for 40 minutes at 180 Served with salad, sweet potato jacket and tomato sauce (passatta, dried basil & garlic granules) We made enough for family of 4 plus w few left over to be thrown on a salad for lunch.
