Description
We are a friendly Thai boxing Gym for all abilities based in Falmouth. Friendly, Professional trainers suitable for everyone from beginners wanting to improve fitness, to potential fighting champions! SO8 Muay Thai Gym was set up in 1993 (under the original name Falmouth Thai). It was the first traditional 'Thai Boxing Club' in Cornwall . The club teaches mainly Muay Thai Boxing however Kick Boxing, Self Protection, Self Defence and MMA (mixed martial arts) are also taught.
So if you would like to lose weight, get fit, just try something new, gain confidence, compete in the ring (semi contact or full contact), grading’s etc we can help either in any of the classes or personal one to one teaching.
We are a friendly, family orientated group welcoming all types / levels of fitness in a non intimidating environment (Feel free to come down and judge for yourself) what you will get is high quality honest hard training to meet your needs.
Classes are taught by experienced, attentive trainers. Safety is Paramount in all classes and a good warm up, stretch and warm down is a key part of every session, the clubs instructors are traditionally trained and fully insured.
Ian Davies is the clubs senior instructor and has over 25 years experience. Most of this time in Muay Thai and many under the guidance of the legendary Master Sken and his famous Sitnarong camp.
In the classes participants are encouraged to push themselves, all levels of fitness are more than welcome, and our instructor are trained to help identify and help improve your fitness levels without intimidation or ill-feeling” New students are always made welcome and you'll soon be part of the Falmouth Thai family.
The main and core style of the club is Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), however we welcome other martial artist's of all levels & styles as we all learn off each other, even if you've never set foot in a gym before we'll have something to suit you.

So tonight we said bye to Megan as she leaves the UK and heads for Canada for a while.. We will all miss her bubbly personality and ferocious training mindset.. She will certainly be an asset to any club she trains at across the pond. Good luck lady x

With the summer holidays just round the corner we've made some changes to our timetable just for August as we know a lot of people go away. So no kids class for all of August and no Wednesday bag blast. The last kids session before September will be Saturday 27th July and bag blast 31st July
Kit Order going in next week. Hoodies Tshits and Vests all available. Vests and T Shirts particually popular this time of year! £10 for Cotton Ts, £15 for Breathable Tech Fabric Ts and Vests in Black or White. Order forms at the gym!
