As the number of confirmed cases of scarlet fever are rising across Devon, I thought it would be helpful to share the NHS information & guidance, which also gives pregnancy advice.

🌟 B A B Y B A N K E X E T E R 🌟 I’m so excited to be one of the 10 Exeter businesses sponsoring the running costs of Baby Bank Network Exeter! It’s such a worthwhile cause... see below for more info, visit their page & give them a great big Facebook 👍 The Baby Bank Network is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers that redistribute pre-loved baby items to families that cannot afford to buy them, our aim is the prevention or relief of poverty in Exeter. Working closely with children's centres, health visitors and other organisations across the city that are in contact with vulnerable families, they operate via a referral system. They accept good quality second-hand donations at their store below The Harvester Restaurant at arranged drop off times. Keep an eye on their page for the drop off slots available each week. They accept clothes (ironed if poss) for 0-18mth olds, high chairs, buggies/prams, bouncy chairs, Moses baskets, cots/cribs, bedding & sleep bags, stair gates, baby baths, towels, tommy tippee bottles, sterilisers, books, small pram/soft toys, new toiletries like wipes, toothbrush/paste, sanitary/breast pads, shampoo/body wash for baby/mum, cotton wool, nappies (can be part used packs), flannels/sponges. They are seeking volunteers to help with fundraising, Ironing, sorting and packing of donations. Please message them to show your interest join their private volunteers page. They really need businesses to sponsor the project to ensure it gets off the ground and keeps going! They will require fund's and donations to cover ongoing purchasing of products that they need to buy regularly like nappies, wipes, cot mattresses, toiletries, bottle teats and admin costs. Could your workplace help?? In return they will shout about their support!
