My evenings are very snuggley at the moment with these purr boxes 😻

We've had a tough few months and lost some very dear friends. Our velvet Prince, Harry. What are we going to do without you big guy? Such a special boy and my friend for so long. Max the boxer and Max the lab, gentle oldies with such sweet souls. Chloe left us devastated when we heard she'd been hit by a car and passed the next day. Friendliest little lady, she was my shadow over the past 10 years of caring for her and her furry brothers and sisters. The house seems empty without you Chlo. Kitty, what total beauty with a little bit of spice that I just love. Perkins, such a sweetheart and her sister, Vegas is pining for her terribly. Last but never least, Catman. Your Mum took you on as a stray and you made yourself right at home. Miss you buddy, dunununununununun Catman. Shel and I love our job but these past few months have been hard. Thank goodness for the wonderful Pet Angels that keep us smiling every day 💛

I'm sure lots of you have heard of Alabama rot or cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy (CRGV). Knowing the warning signs is key. Below is a picture from dogs trust with the main symptoms listed. We've done lots of reading up on Alabama rot so we can help keep the dogs in our care as safe as possible. As most of you know, our walks are through fields and along our local rivers. These are often wet and muddy, especially on days like today. We carry towels with us to dry and clean up your pups the best we can and we have ordered 2 portable dog showers to help clear off excess mud. Can we please ask that all our clients leave out towels for us to use on your pup as ours are seriously over worked. If any of our clients have any questions, please send Shel or I a text. We have a great relationship with our local vet and we often seek advice from them. It seems there is very little known about Alabama rot but we will continue to do all we can to keep our Pet Angels safe and happy. Sian and Shel.
