facebook.comWe aren’t always lucky enough to know how our patients are doing in the months after treatment, but sometimes we get a message which makes us smile. 1 year ago Bobby ran into a tree and fractured and partially luxated his neck at his first and second cervical vertebrae. His second cervical vertebrae was broken in two places. Without surgery Bobby risked severely injuring his spinal cord with catastrophic consequences. As a result the only sensible option was to repair his fracture and stabilise the vertebrae. A combination of screws and bone cement were used to repair the fracture and stabilise the vertebral space. After a period of hospitalisation at AVR, Bobby’s owners showed great care and commitment with his rehabilitation. By 12 weeks after his injury he was allowed to run again. We received this message today, along with a lovely picture of Bobby, who is thoroughly enjoying living life to the full - “I thought I would just drop you a quick message of thanks. A year ago bobby came to you with a broken neck. As you can see from the photo he is fully recovered and making us laugh and smile every day. On behalf of Bobby and my family, thank you. There's not a day passes when I don't think of your wonderful practice”. Some of the images below show his injury and repair.

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS FROM NORTH/WEST As the roadworks are progressing on the A90 there are a few changes to access for AVR. If you are coming to AVR from the North/Ellon direction, follow the route of the new section of A90 south from Tipperty. DO NOT follow the diversion signs for Newburgh businesses, but follow the new road all the way to where it rejoins the existing A90 just before the Newburgh junction and we are then on the right hand side just south of the junction. For clients coming from the West/Inverurie direction if may be advisable to come onto the A90 at Ellon and turn south from there. We will post more updates as the AWPR progresses. Thanks for your patience.
