Elie Beach Rugby, new for 2016, is a Tens tournament, with BBQ, live band and afterparty in the Ship Inn. Sat in the legendary beer garden of the famous Ship Inn, with a beer in hand and the sun setting over Elie’s idylic stretch of coastline. Only one thing could make this day better............ BEACH RUGBY!!
Henri James, The Ship Inn and Savills have teamed together to bring you an extravaganza of beach rugby, BBQ, live band and after party all to take place on Scotland’s finest beach. Ten teams will do battle in front of a packed beer garden, where burgers will be served all day and guest commentators will be keeping you up to date on what is happening on the pitch.
Once the players have finished the grand final (probably knee deep in water by then) at about 4.00pm the presentation will take place in the beer garden. From there it’s over to the Ship Inn, who are putting on a show for players and spectators. There’ll be live music, plenty of dancing and some much needed bacon rolls in the morning.
We are absolutely delighted to have The Sandpiper Trust as our chosen charity which saves lives every year by seeking to improve emergency care in remote and rural areas of Scotland.

• £150 per team (after costs all remaining proceeds go to our charity)
• 10 teams of 10 players. 5 players on the pitch at any one time.

• Parking - £2 per vehicle behind the Ship Inn on the football pitch or free in
town
• BBQ, bar and live music in the evening

Tomorrow there will be a big fat glorious sun shining over Elie's Colosseum where the terraces will be packed cheering on the gladiators as they battle it out.
