Dunedin Canmore Youth Projects (DCYP) offers services for young people 12 - 25 living in Edinburgh. Dunedin Canmore Youth Projects is an innovative partnership between Dunedin Canmore Housing Limited and City of Edinburgh Council's Community Learning & Development service.
Youth Café Activities
Oxgangs Youth Café 12 – 19 years
Tuesday’s and Sunday’s between 6pm and 8pm – Oxgangs Neighbourhood Centre
Slateford Green Youth Café 12 – 19 years
Thursday’s between 6pm and 8pm – Slateford Green Community Centre
EVOLS
DCYP’s EVOLS project in partnership with CHAI provides young people 16+ with opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and improve their health and wellbeing through community based environmental projects.
Street Work
DCYP delivers street work activities on Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm around the Gorgie/Dalry areas to engage with youths and promote DCYP activities.
Youth Employability Workers
DCYP has two youth employability workers delivering services across Gorgie/Dalry, Oxgangs, Moredun/Hyvots and Gracemount supporting young people who are most likely to leave school into a negative destination. The youth employability workers offer support for young people looking to access employment, education, training and volunteering opportunities and link in with four high schools: Tyncastle, Firrhill, Liberton and Gracemount.

'Bumps to Babies' runs weekly at Slateford Green Community Centre and gives parents the opportunity to participate in courses and learn new skills as well as learning how to cook healthy meals on a budget. There are also activities for the kids as well as a free lunch and bus travel to and from the group. If you are a parent or expecting a baby and aged between 16-19 and would like to find out more please call Michelle Johnston on 07823 348 558.

What a day coasteering here in Mull. The guys did fantastic, scary moment when we had a crazed sheep causing havoc on the roads but we managed to escape. Midges here are ruthless but what an incredible place!!! Home tomorrow after a visit to the local chippy!!!
Hey guys a quick reminder that the agency visits to Urban Roots and OntheCorner are going ahead tomorrow as planned. If you have not already booked your space on the bus please get in touch ASAP. The bus will be leaving the Mansion no later than 9.30 so we are asking everyone to be here for 9.00/9.15 latest? Lunch and transport is provided so no money is required. The visit should hopefully inspire us to what can be achieved by community engagement and getting involved with your community?? Drop us a call to book. 👍🏻
