The Royal Burgess Golfing Society is now complete along with a happy client, new bars, oak panelling, glazed double door room divider, architraves and show cases. Great to be working with Richard Skakel at Sk3d again. The job was made complete hanging some enormous Mike Stoan chandeliers which were double tiered ellipses so you can imagine the scratching of heads involved. Steve, Richard and I were offered jobs as cleaners by a member the night before the opening, due to our hoovering and polishing prowess.

Finally, in this monster catch up, we took delivery of our new CNC router. Unfortunately we are so busy we haven't been able to get the engineer timetabled in to commission and train us! The machine is squatting, wrapped in polythene, under the mezzanine. Hidden behind the new extraction and feeling distinctly unloved. The enclosed photo is of exactly the same machine that Scottish Opera had installed in their somewhat larger workshop.

We are still doing St Cecilia's Hall but in a slight lull we started building about 70sqm of oak panelling and two new bars for the The Royal Burgess Golfing Society of Edinburgh designed by Richard Skakel at Sk3d. This is one of the rooms almost ready for our bars and panelling next week.

After Christmas we worked on a design by StudioSP for the very lovely Blackwell House in the Lake District. 4 mild steel museum cases (unusually), European Oak display frames and some interactive. One was a magnetic lightbox which, although we were sceptical to start with, Robbie had a blast developing. The weather was fabulous.

Wow, time flies! We have been flat out, so, as usual, a certain lack of quality to the photos. This a reception desk/counter for the new Melville Housing offices at the Dalkeith Corn Exchange. We worked with the Susan Stephen Architects and the Colorado Group to come up with something that would work for the client.
