Thursday : a great group of new lunchtime Infants in Whetstone , learning very first steps towards yelllow belt 👍🏻. Afterschool progressing their combative kata ! Well done Lana and Zain worked very hard last night to learn first six taikyoku kata and first six yakusoku kumite.... held onto their focus 👏🏻 Friday : Super new class of home schooled children this morning. Great discipline and manners, all very attentive 😊

Stanmore Juniors are coming along so well. Partner work with hooking blocks and high blocks. They loved it:) And getting stronger in the punch bag team racing game for Juniors and Advanced classes. First Monday of Summer term. Courtland Infants as enthusiastic as ever 😁. Elbow strikes and hooking block practise today. New general class at new venue of Bentley Wood School sports hall. Welcome to some new visitors, enjoyed having you. Great to see familiar faces back for more too. Super concentration and work ethic from everyone. Some kihon (basics), kata and kumite. Brown belt class focussed on stances and geikisai ichi kata. Really trying to get each stance better and each move and technique more accurate. Kata league starts next week !

Karate weekend! Edgware : Friday welcome to new members and well done for getting back into training everyone. Promotions to Kaiyan and Hrim to advanced class, who managed very nicely. Saturday in Friern Barnet and East Finchley: new visitors did well to give everything a go, new tags and new belts looking smart. Sunday squad training. Twenty youngsters took up the opportunity to improve their kumite and kata. Worked hard. Finally two one to one lessons this afternoon and after a few weeks break: muscle memory proved that Zara and Serena still in fact knew their kata and yakusoku kumite. Good work 👍🏻

Good to be back and enjoying a new term at Stanmore. Welcome to the new visitors. Juniors learning elbow strike and sanchin dachi. Good focus. 👍🏻 Whilst advanced class welcomed newly promoted Anand and Kushi and had practice with yakusoku kumite, side kick challenges and more! Well done !

Final Finchley Easter camp day. A day of nerves and competition whilst final rounds decided and best routines on show. Worked hard all of you which shows in your grading marks. For some, a steep learning curve and a platform to progress on from further. Enjoy your holiday weekend. See you next week!
