On the final day of the Easter festival at 8-00 things certainly didn’t look very favourable with wet heavy rain I feared the worse but how wrong could you be With 3 strong contenders from the first match excellent fishing was needed today to take the spoils This definitely happened with the quiet man Keith Morris weighing in with the best weight of the year of 77lb and 2 points also on 2 points Darren Trolley but slightly lesser overall weight 3rd place went to Mick Whittam who finished on a bigger weight than the great Steve Davis (lake snake)

Hi people heads up anyone booked on specimen lake this week end please get in touch
Please please please Can I bring it to your attention that running a fishery is a full time job in its self we do not just sit here waiting for fb messages to come through so please do not try to book on via Facebook the specimen lake is a very expensive commodity so if a phone call is too much trouble you don’t need to come.also I do not have time to answer questions like what’s it fishing like the same names alway catch yet others struggle I can not be responsible for your ability there are plenty of fish and we can do nothing about the weather.
Any friend got a heater to donate for the office would be very grateful

With the summer finally with us hayton lake we're proud to present a new trophy Over the last 3 years weights of 100lb were quite common however 200lb is quite an achievement although it happened once last year in a open match by the slow sinker meastro Trever Jordan he has since done this 6 times this year It was decided to produce a cap The only other person to achieve this is a young up and coming angler Ben Clark (below) at 17 certainty a name for the future
