Malky White Fitness
Description
Malky White Fitness is a personal training service dedicated to help you become the best version of yourself possible.
My journey is health and fitness started about 5 years before I was qualified as a personal trained. If we were to rewind back to 2011 you would see me weighing about 126kg (nearly 20st) refusing to acknowledge that my lifestyle was so unhealthy.
Everything started to change when I took up Taekwon-Do and began competing. The first thing I did was giving up smoking 20 cigarettes a day, although my diet was still poor. Drinking cans after cans of fizzy juice and junk food nearly every day.
Although I was training nearly 5 times a week my weight wasn’t changing as quick as I’d like and when I suffered an injury that forced me out of training happened, I made the change to my nutrition and the weight fell off.
After seeing the results I was able to achieve by making simple changes and working hard I decided that I wanted to spend my life helping others who were in the same situation as I was and make them feel as I good as I did.
Our goal is not to be better than anyone else, but be better than yesterday.

facebook.comDifferent kinda leg day for Kathleen today. . Working on some leg strengthening exercises using side kicks. . Doing push ups, squats, kettlebell swings etc. Is a lot of fun but a change in training to mix it up is always a good idea. We had a great laugh doing it as well!
On 11th February I did the Combined Strength 'Performance 7' with Harry MacDonald and as part of that test he had to do chin ups, and he had 0. . A few weeks ago we started working towards that skill in particular using bands and negative reps etc. . I knew he was working on them when training at the gym in school, today he told me after a hard workout that he could do chin ups. Despite how tired he was after he training this is what he did. Going to get a video when he's not totally knackered. . Great progress in just a few weeks after struggling to do them when using bands. Well done mate, awesome work!

One of my favourite exercises to do with clients is the Kettlebell windmill. . Working hip mobility, back, shoulder and core strength, coordination.. all kinds of fun to be had!
Norma
Another lovely post from my client Norma. An exceptionally hard worker and lovely person. Norma and her sister both train together with me and it's never a dull session! It's good to see that our work is paying off. It's nothing groundbreaking we've been doing. I give Norma mobility and strength exercises to do and she listens! So happy reading this!

Received a lovely message from Kathleen today. . "To think I couldn't even do 1 push up with the weakness in my wrists. I couldn't put any weight on them at all. . This morning I just done a 17min core workout that included mountain climbers, rise and fall planks, one arm and leg raise planks, normal planks and every other abs exercise u can think of lol feeling proud of myself and wot I have achieved thanks Malcolm all down to my mobility training on my wrists onwards and upwards the sky is the limit!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻" . There's a reason that all my clients and anyone who trains with me get lectured on mobility and preparing yourself properly before training. It's so important! . When @katmcd2222 and I started working together she was scared to put weight on her hands from a kneeling position and now she can go through workouts without pain or discomfort. . Mobility isn't just for people who train all the time or people who don't exercise at all. Everyone can benefit from it! Learn how to move and control your body properly before jumping straight in to doing crazy workouts and you'll feel much better in the long run!
Used to take him 23years to touch his toes, now he does it in 10 mins 😜 keep up the good work @kieranheaaly

Proud of these two with their performances put in at the competition today. ------------------------------------------ Robert picked up his first gold in sparring since his return to competition today and @scott.wyllie1 narrowly missed out on a gold in the final. ------------------------------------------ Both did great, very proud of them! Lots of progress made and more to come.

Just getting Robert moving today before his next Taekwon-Do competition tomorrow. ------------------------------------------ Since starting training wth me, in 9 months he's made a return to competition, been selected to represent Scotland at the upcoming European championships in Liverpool and has also lost 13kg. ------------------------------------------ He's went through a complete lifestyle change. He's now prepping food, training regularly and consistently through the week and actually enjoys training now. It's something he wants to do, not something he has to do. Couldn't be happier with how he's doing!

Love getting texts like this. You get out of training what you put into it. Harry's putting the work in both in our sessions and training at school, as well as studying for exams. ------------------------------------------ First game in 5 weeks and he's feeling stronger and fitter. Hard work gets the results 👌🏻
