Children’s Dental Health Month Did you know that not brushing your teeth after breakfast and last thing at night can cause tooth decay? Plaque + Sugar = Acid Acid+ Time + Healthy Tooth = Tooth Decay The frequency of sugar consumption is more important than the quantity, in relation to the development of tooth decay. We recommend that you only consume sugary drinks at meal times and drink only water or milk in between meals. Doing so will allow the mouth to return to a healthy pH and prevent acid attacks on the wee ones teeth. Meet The Team Friday 📸 Alana - Head Dental Nurse Alana has been qualified as a Dental Nurse since 2013. Alana’s main duties as Head Dental Nurse are ensuring that all things clinical are carried out to the highest standard within East Kilbride Dental Care. When Alana isn’t at work she enjoys spending time with her partner, meeting with friends, going to the cinema and taking her dog Chuck out on adventures.

February is Children’s Dental Health Month Stay tuned for updates throughout the month of February for advise on how to maintain good oral health for children. Aim to register the wee ones with our dentist’s soon after birth or by the time they are six months old. Bring the little ones to East Kilbride Dental Care every six months, or as advised by the wee ones Dentist. Bringing your baby to our dental practice as early as possible helps them get used to the smells, sounds and sights of our practice and will also give the parent/guardian or carer access to information, advice and support for looking after the wee ones teeth. Meet The Team Friday 📸 Ann - Receptionist Ann worked as a Dental Nurse for many years and has since moved to reception. Ann is passionate about her job and the patients she meets on a daily basis. Ann’s hobbies include singing with her band at social clubs, weddings and other venues as well as spending all the time she can with her grandchildren.
