A few before & after shots of our house. All building work was undertaken by Steve Young who built and rendered the porch base walls, laid our York stone style slabs around the house, and organised all the walls to be rendered. Timbers for the porch and the fire place were reclaimed from an old barn on location and a local sawmill provided all the decking & fencing timber, again all built by Steve, I can highly recommend Steve for all these types of projects...The one thing he didn't do is the twisted willow lampshade in the porch, a Mary Thompson creation. Client wanted three large lamps hung in their lovely barn conversion. I created a false ceiling to house all the wiring and hung the lamps by a medium size link chain, then a couple of coats of brilliant white emulsion throughout to finish.

Customer wanted to create a nice space to sit out over the summer evenings. A couple of coats of brilliant white masonry on all walls and a spacious deck built by Stephen Young. 70s wallpaper that had to go! Stripped, then Dulux 'Egyptian cotton' on walls and F&B 'All White' eggshell on doors/frames/skirting.
