St Mary's College was founded in 1899 and is the third oldest of Durham University's sixteen colleges. Both traditional and dynamic we are a welcoming community of mixed undergraduate and postgraduate students studying a full range of degrees across Durham's academic departments. We are known throughout the University for our friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A very Merry Christmas from everyone at St Mary’s College 🎄
Our Christmas formal, which included a unique version of Slade’s Merry Xmas Everyone by the Principal and Vice-Principal as well as a full hall Mary’s rendition of the 12 days of Christmas, was a fantastic way to conclude Michaelmas Term 2017
We were delighted to host Foot of the Hill’s pantomime production of Beauty & The Beast, featuring a talented cast of Mary’s students 🎭 “An all-singing, all-dancing night of magic, College-bashing and true love”
For the past three weeks the JCR 'Welfare At Mary's' (WAM) team have been running a mental health awareness campaign. Grace Haynes, a member of the WAM Committee, summarises the message the campaign has aimed to give to students. We were also joined by actor and Durham alum Alex Macqueen (pictured), best known for his roles in 'The Inbetweeners' and 'The Thick of It', who kindly offered to help promote the campaign.
