We will join the global lights out event for Earth Hour by turning off our lights at the council HQ in English Street Dumfries for this weekend of 24th/25th March, and at Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura tonight for one hour at 8.30pm to celebrate WWF’s Earth Hour. Don't forget to put your clocks forward on Sunday! ⌚⏰ Set your clocks forward by one hour on Sunday 25 March, officially the start of British Summer Time. 🌞🌞 The official time changes at 1.00 am, moving forward to 2.00 am across the UK. We may be losing an hour in bed but with extra daylight in the evenings and a long summer ahead, there's plenty to look forward to after the clocks go forward. 😎😄

HIPPITY HOP HAPPY EASTER You will be in for a fun time at the “Hippity Hop Happy Easter” party on April 1st 2018 in Dock Park. There will be family-friendly activities including Easter Egg Trail through Dock Park and Castledykes Park. The fun starts at 11:00am with activities such as Dumfries Rocks, Inflatables, Balance Bikes, Outside Table Tennis, Stalls and Roundabouts. The event will also of course have a special guest as the Easter Bunny will visit the park to help with the Easter Trail. Come and roll your Easter Eggs in Castledykes Historical Park.

The Proposed Local Development Plan 2 and Environmental Report is currently out for a period of representation. Following the cancellation of the previous event due to the 'Beast from the East', people in the Stewartry will now be able to decide how over £38,000 of funding is spent on 21st April. 13 different projects will be hoping that you vote for their project in the big vote.
