Taking a wander today in the beautiful Balloch Park at Loch Lomond and was drawn to picture these plants. Not sure what they are. Some kind of lily I think. But they brought to mind an inspirational lesson of the opportunity for growth, even in the muddiest of conditions. Happy holiday weekend.

Practicing mindfulness on this gloriously sunny autumn day. Noticing the crunch of the dried leaves on the soft grass beneath my feet, noticing the frolicking of the squirrels as they chased each other and buried their winter food, noticing the heat of the sun on my face and the gentle breeze in my hair. Noticing the sound of birds chattering, squaking and the sound of wings flapping. Noticing the autumn colours of ripening apples and berries and the delicate thump as an apple falls to the ground. Noticing sounds and stillness. Being aware of each breath and feeling of gratitude. For this moment is magnificent.
