A huge congratulations goes to Matthew Peleszok for taking part in the Clarendon Marathon today. As some of you may know, this was his last competitive run in the U.K before he moves to New Zealand with his family. Matthew has been a valuable asset to Desborough RAPID RC, he has developed effective training schedules, represented the club at many events and has given quality advice to a number of runners. In his time at the club, he has been an influential committee member and took on the role of club secretary while his wife, Fran was club treasurer. From everyone at Desborough RAPID RC, past and present, we would like to say a huge thank you and good luck to you and your family for the future. We look forward to seeing the RAPID top taking on races in New Zealand and hope you can keep us updated with your running adventures. Thank you Matthew

One week to go until our next Sunday Social at Fineshades Wood. We shall be meeting at 9:30 in the main car park near the visitor centre (Post code: NN17 3BB). Remember: - This is open to all - This is a social run with no fixed pace or distance. - Run for another club?.. bring them along too. - Don't fancy a run, then come along buy yourself a coffee and a piece of cake and have a chat. Notes: - Due to the nature of some of the routes, this one should probably be classed as a trail run. So please bear that in mind when deciding footwear. - There are also car parking charges so car sharing may help reduce costs.

Finally and after much deliberation, the next Sunday social has been decided and will take place on Sunday 8th October at Fineshades Wood. We shall be meeting at 9:30 in the main car park near the visitor centre (Post code: NN17 3BB). As per our previous Sunday social events, a run is completely optional but for those that fancy one, and not just coffee and cake, Finsehades offers a number of routes (2 miles, 3 miles and 6 miles) so lots of variation for different abilities. Not joined us on one of our Social Run before? Why not come along and see what you think. Worried you will be left behind or hold everyone up? Not a problem there is no planned pace and no one will be left behind. Run for another club? No worries bring them along too. Notes: - Due to the nature of some of the routes, this one should probably be classed as a trail run. So please bear that in mind when deciding footwear. - There are also car parking charges so car sharing may help reduce costs.
