• • • merry christmas eve🎄 i spent the day at the yard today working and i gave all the shetlands a lil groom ready for christmas! i also lunged trev and he was v good! OMG AND ALSO MY NEW SADDLE ARRIVED IN THE SHOP TODAY SO I CAN GO AND PICK IT UP LATER THIS WEEK!! christmas really is here😋😋😋 there was a christmas eve hunt at the yard today which looked so fun; i’m hoping to go hunting next year once i have trev sorted with a saddle, maybe make it a christmas tradition🤷🏼‍♀️

Hunting today included a wind farm. Never been to one before. Loud but horses didn't mind. Thanks Yorkshire Farmers' Bloodhounds and Oakley Equestrian. #worldsworstracehorse behaved himself, after a giddy start.

• • • i got Trev’s christmas selection box today for his xmas present! he was v good tonight when i lunged him. we did a bit of walk and trot work with the side reins and roller, and then i unclipped the side reins and we did some trotting poles so it was a bit more fun for him! he worked really well!! i also re-weighed him today and he’s stayed exactly the same which is much better than him loosing any! my aim is to eventually get him as close to 600kg as possible (without him actually being overweight) and atm he is 521kg!!💘 PS: i’m really sad my ear is poking out in this and that my hair makes me look like a man☹️

• • • me and trev had a lil christmas photoshoot today to get us in the mood🎄he was so well behaved and was doing brill walk to canter transitions!! despite not being able to be ridden properly he’s still putting so much effort in bless him🙈 he’s also much happier now the ground has softened up so he can go out!! and so am i because it’s going to save me a lot of money on bedding😋

• • • I GOT NEW PHOTOS FINALLY!! so, i currently have no saddle😕 the one we had didn’t fit (even though we got it fitted before we bought it) so the saddle fitter has taken it back and ordered the same but with a high wither! however, it won’t come until the second or third week in January which means i have no saddle until then :( i have still been exercising him by lunging and starting to do join up but i’m just so desperate to ride properly😫 please comment below any saddles which you think might fit a horse with a high wither and big shoulder but short back! i’m looking for any second hand saddles until mine arrives😌

• • • trev’s saddle still isn’t sorted but she’s coming out on wednesday again to hopefully actually sort it this time! i also have no new photos😕😕 trev has physio last weekend and i rode this weekend and he feels much better, but his saddle was causing him a lot of pain :( i also jumped bareback for the first time today, even though i can barely sit a canter bareback🤷🏼‍♀️ he also lunged beautifully before hand aswell😍😍 im just having so much fun with him at the minute even though i can’t ride properly!!

• • • i rode trev today and he was still not moving forwards despite him having his saddle re fitted on thursday😕 he was good for the first 10 minutes but once his muscles expand when they’re working he really struggles and was proper rearing and bucking today! idk if this is his back or his saddle still but i rode bareback afterwards and he didn’t show any signs of pain so idk☹️ i’m going to ride tomorrow and see if he does the same thing and if he does i’m going to get the physio out and another saddle fitter for a second opinion🤞🏼 although, he does look bloody good bless him😍👉🏼

• • • had such an amazing day with @ferrymoor_lady, i missed her so much!❤️ i had a lil photo shoot this morning with trev in the field and then went to katie’s to see the ponies and we obvs had a photoshoot there too💁🏼 i lunged trev this evening and he was moving so freely, i can definitely tell the saddle is restricting him😕 but the saddle fitter is coming out on thursday so hopefully we can fix it bcos i miss riding and it’s only been a couple of days😒 #trevandlu

• • • trev was incredible today! after not doing dressage for over a year we managed to pull off a 65.17%❤️ i looked at my previous test sheets and this is the second best percentage we’ve ever gotten and i barely practised!! that means he’s naturally better so my hard work is paying off!!! i’m very happy bless him🐴 #trevandlu

• • • position goals😍😍😍 - obvs sarcastic trev was a lil crazy today jumping, i think the wind got him a bit excited as he was pelting round the course, pinging all of the jumps whilst i had no brakes😕 it was mainly my fault though i should’ve sat up and made him collect but gives us something to work on! we had two refusals and one pole down in the 90cm bcos i couldn’t stop and it probably wasn’t my best idea after not doing proper sj practise for about 6 weeks but we had fun😂 i also took ella for a little play around the 70cm and she was so good, it was my first time riding her and we only got one pole down! #trevandlu
