Blue Flax has been enjoying lots of celebrations recently. Especial congratulations to George and Daisy who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family at the tearoom. Many thanks to their Canadian relatives who all sent their love for this very special occasion. This was closely followed by their granddaughter Debbie's birthday, as well as George's own birthday, a week later. Many thanks from the Blue Flax for sharing these special moments with us.

Good luck and very best wishes to Nina & Jen, both moving on from their employ in the Tea Room to Universities: Edinburgh Napier and Robert Gordon's respectively. They have both been terrific employees: Nina for 2.5 years and Jen for well over a year. A very big thank you to them both. We continue with our established staff of Geraldine & Kyle, and welcome back Bradley to complete the team. Also added a few more pictures of happy customers enjoying their celebration occasions throughout the summer. Huge thanks to those who worked so hard this year to bring the Crieff Remembers events to the town & the Diaspora Tapestry (Arts Festival) exhibition. One of the panels linked really well to the Blue Flax Tea Room - see photograph. Many thanks to you for your valued custom this year. We look forward to warmly welcoming both old and new customers throughout our winter season. 🥣🥗🥪🍰☕

Happy birthday to Catriona, Chris and Roy. Customers Catriona & Chris popped into the tearoom this morning for a little birthday celebration for themselves. Coincidently, it is also Roy's birthday today. Sparklers and cake for all! Even more coincidently, they were all born in the same year. Who'd have thought it?

Looking forward to next week's Science Festival. Blue Flax continues to support this whole week of fun and games, with brain teasing games on each of our tables, courtesy of Strathearn's Festival of Science. Prizes awarded to those who can find the testing solutions to: the problem of the eight queens or Einsteins mirror puzzles, plus a good number of other mind bending challenges. Children and their grown ups are all welcome to put themselves to the test while sampling some of the goodies available in the tearoom. See you soon for some warming winter fun.

Half term fun with some of our toys and games. Callan has been doing his best to build everything into one model/display. Who will accept the challenge to see what can be achieved? Other challenges in our wooden puzzles, even the grown ups struggle! How will you do?

Wishing Bradley and Andrew all the best for their futures as they depart from the Tea Room staff to take up their places at University: Bradley to study Art at Dundee and Andrew to study Economics at Stirling. Bradley has been with us for the past 2 and a half years. He will be greatly missed, However he leaves behind some fantastic examples of his skills as an artist (see photos) in wood cut printing. (Purchases of these pieces can be arranged via the tearoom.) Andrew has been with us for over a year and has been an invaluable staff member, who will also be missed by staff and customers. We are happy to have Geraldine and Nina still on board, and have welcomed Jennifer to our team this summer as well. We look forward to welcoming you as customers soon. All the staff appreciate your continued support of our tearoom venture, which enables us to provide these lovely, local people with employment opportunities and experience.

Hello tearoom supporters. Many thanks to you for our continued success, enabling us in turn to support Crieff events. A busy weekend ahead: Crieff Arts Festival, Crieff Highland Gathering and further events in Macrosty Park, St James Square and Strathearn Artspace. We have the privilege of hosting Andrew Leishman's art work - see photos attached. Working in many mediums, Andrew is displaying his tile work and paintings in the tearoom as part of Crieff's Arts Festival. He is happy to sell pieces of his work and/or take commissions for pieces of your choice as drawings, paintings or prints. We continue to display Stained Glass work by Alan Lewis who is also able to take commissions and Inez Jenkins glass plates and candle holders; both local artists to Perthshire. We are also happy to show work by Clare Oliff (last year's Arts Festival exhibitor) who is also exhibiting her work in the town during the Arts Festival this year. Belonging to a family of artists, her nephew Bradley Gaylor - one of our employees - has also produced some pieces for display in the tearoom this year as well. We hope you enjoy all of the events this weekend and find time, while touring the locations, to pop into for some edible goodies as well as viewing the art work on display at venue 17.
